范德康教授简要介绍


  范德康教授(Leonard W.J. van der Kuijp),出生于荷兰,1975年获加拿大萨斯喀彻温大学(University of Saskatchewan)学士学位;1976年获萨斯喀彻温大学硕士学位;1979年获德国汉堡大学博士学位。所学专业有藏学、印度学、汉学、满学和哲学。1980—1983年,在加德满都尼泊尔研究中心担任尼泊尔—德国手抄本书稿保存项目负责人;1984年,在尼泊尔和印度开展研究项目;1985—1987年,在德国柏林大学担任助教,讲授藏族语言文学和佛学;1992—1993年,任西雅图华盛顿大学历史系客座教授,后任该校亚洲语言文学系助教,讲授藏族语言文学和佛学。1995年至今,任美国哈佛大学西藏和喜马拉雅研究教授(Professor of Tibetan and Himalayan Studies at Harvard University);1997年至今,任哈佛大学梵文和印度学系/内亚与阿尔泰研究系主席(Chairman of the Department of Sanskrit and Indian Studies/ Inner Asian and Altaic Studies)。目前,范教授的研究领域主要集中于印-藏佛教、藏传佛教思想史、藏蒙关系、藏汉关系研究。
